Fever and Medications
Hello, I was concerned about my fever. Whenever I have fever, my parents immediately give me calpol or some other medications, and if it has been a while since I had fever, like one day, they give me antobiotics. I read somewhere that fever is the response of the body's immune system to some infection, which I probably got because my brother had one recently. So, is it alright to immediately give a person medications if they have fever?

It’s based on degree of fever and discomfort caused by fever to the patient If you are totally comfortable and fever is less than 101F u can avoid also But in children there is risk for development of fits during fever episodes- esp if less than 5 years
