My daughter is 2.5 years old and has on and off fever since 4 days.
The armpit temperature is between 99 to 100.6 and comes back sometimes in 5 hours or sometimes in 8-10 hours.
We are giving crocin 240 ds but it is still on and off.
We consulted the paediatrician and they said to wait until 5 days.
Is his viral fever and does it last this long?
Should I be worried.
Please advise.

Viral fever can last for 3-5 days.
If your child is active in between the fever spikes, then don’t worry
But if she is sleepy/ drowsy in between fever spikes then she requires evaluation.
Also what are her associated symptoms is important as well to determine the severity.
If you think she is not eating, not active, drowsy/ sleepy then see your doctor again.
If not, then wait.
