We had our daughter vaccinated at 6 weeks painless one. Inspite of painless vaccine she has continuous fever and even though i have given crocin drops fever is continuous. She also developed cough n cold. My question 1. Is it normal to have fever for continuous 24hours even after painless vaccine 2. She is very lethargic and sleeping mostly otherwisr she is a active baby. Is this okay 3. Not having proper feed but urine is okay. 4. Should i give her nasal spray for cold & cough

Painless vaccine is a wrong term. There can be fever after every vaccine although chance with acellular pertussis ("painless vaccine") is less. Continuous fever is not common. Please visit a pediatrician for check up. You can give saline nasal drops for cold.

There is fever even after giving painless vaccine , just that the fever is not high grade with painless vaccine, there is less irritability and less risk for convulsion with painless vaccine. You need to consult with a pediatrician in person if your child is lethargic and not having feed properly.Thank you Dr Aditi Birje MD PEDIATRICS KEM HOSPITAL MUMBAI SHREE GURUMAAULI PEDIATRIC CLINIC YOGI NAGAR BORIVALI WEST MUMBAI
