Femur Fracture - Delayed union
Hi, I’ve had recently a car accident and ended up with a femur fracture which was fixed with a plate and screws. The fracture is now still not healed and I am 3 months post-op. I have done two PRP injections so far and my doctor says the fracture needs a minimum of 4 months before we can see any callus. I would like therefore to have another opinion on my fracture and what should be done to achieve bone union. Thanks

Kindly share x-rays.. Minimum callus seen post plating..but it is still seen in far cortex. Ideal time 4-6 weeks in a plain x-ray...
