Fell down, blood clot
Hello Dr. Am Naresh. fell down while walking at home, i could walk because of severe pain. Visited Ortho Dr 10 days back and he confirmed there is no fracture but there is a blood clot. He did apply POP on that day. Today removed POP, but still i see the blood clot as is and a bit more but no pain. Attached blood clot pic for your reference. Kindly suggest what i can do. Thanks. Naresh.

I'm sorry to hear about your condition, Naresh. Blood clots can take some time to dissolve on their own, but it's important to monitor them closely as they can sometimes lead to more serious complications like deep vein thrombosis (DVT). I would recommend following up with your orthopaedic doctor to discuss your concerns about the blood clot not improving and to determine if any additional treatment or monitoring is necessary. In the meantime, you can try to elevate your leg when sitting or lying down to help reduce swelling, and avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time. Additionally, you can continue taking the calcium tablets as prescribed by your doctor.

The blood clot there will change its colour slowly and then disappear one fine day.. If you don't have pain now , you need not worry. Keep your foot elevated and apply ice frequently.. Can try applying Crepe bandage as well.
