Hey hi, please don't worry or feel depressed. Getting crowns is 100% the right decision to protect brittle, root-canaled teeth from breaking completely.
Next Steps
Take the painkiller/anti-inflammatory medicine prescribed by your dentist. The pain will settle down beautifully once your final crowns are permanently cemented.
Health Tips
Avoid chewing anything hard or extremely hot/cold on those specific teeth right now. Keep doing warm saline rinses to heal the sore gums.

Hello Root canal treated tooth cannot give you throbbing pain when prepared for crown placement. Please get yourself assessed appropriately so as to localise pain. Inflammation of gums is generalized so one tooth cannot be blamed for this. Yes if you are a bruxer, even before the treatment your gums would be the same.
Next Steps
Kindly don't panic.Visit the dentist and make sure to clear all your doubts. Reason for gum redness to be checked and painful teeth must not be crowned without assessment of cause.
Health Tips
Stressing out will only worsen the outcome.
