I’m sorry you’re feeling this way—it can be deeply unsettling to have such fears, especially when you’re responsible for your children and their future. What you’re experiencing might be a form of death anxiety or heightened fear triggered by stress, exhaustion, or even hormonal changes after childbirth. Here’s what might be contributing to it and how you can address it: Possible Reasons 1. Postpartum Changes: After having children, especially your second baby, hormonal shifts can lead to anxiety or heightened emotions. 2. Stress and Exhaustion: Caring for kids, dealing with toxic environments, and life pressures can make you more prone to fear and intrusive thoughts. 3. Responsibility Overload: Being a parent comes with natural worries about your children’s future, and this fear can translate into fearing your absence. 4. Anxiety or Depression: Generalized anxiety or underlying depression might manifest as fear of death or health concerns. How to Cope with These Feelings 1. Acknowledge the Fear • Accept that it’s a thought, not a prediction. These fears are often exaggerated by stress, not reality. 2. Talk to Someone • Share your fears with a loved one, a trusted friend, or a therapist. Bottling it up can make it worse. 3. Practice Mindfulness • Ground yourself in the present moment by focusing on your breath or doing simple activities that keep you
