Can we feed water to a 5 months baby. She is on full formula milk & daily morning once 3/4th portion of banana. If not, from when can we start giving water. Thank you.

Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till 6 months, since baby is already on formula you can give boiled water. Boil the water for 15 minutes after the bubbles appear. Use a spoon and bowl for feeding the baby. Do not use bottles.
It's better to start water from 6 months...till then only breast milk is advisable as it helps to build up baby's immunity and generates strong bond between mother and child.
First 6 month baby should be on breast milk only nothing else.
If you have started formula milk that must be diluted in water only and also you have started banana in that case you may give water but it should be boiled at 100*c for at least 10min and then you can cool it and give to your baby.
Yes, u can give water. (Give boiled n cooled water). No more than 2 ounces in 24 hours. U can also give puréed vegetables n fruits, small amount of yogurt, dal ka paani, rice water etc. But slowly introduce these food items. Take special care of hygiene
