Hello doctor, i had c section on 14 august. As i still not getting any breast milk my gynecologist suggested me to give buffelo milk to my new born baby. Is it safe to give just one day baby buffelo or cow milk ?

Initialy for 3-5 days after delivery, there is thick milk secretion called as cholesterol. this cholesterol is rich in immunoglobulins. colostrum is less in quantity. newborn babies are having rich supply of glucose store inside their liver and this is sufficient for babies so for 3to5 days I will suggest give breast milk whatever its secrets. and if want to give top milk give formula feed not animal milk up to one year of age

Ideally,ONLY breastmilk exclusively should be given for first 6 months.
If forced to give top milk feeds,use ONLY formula,NOT open animal milk,till 9 months of age,as they are not suitable for newborns.
