This is unlikely to cause serious harm to your child.
Expressed Breast milk can be stored at room temperature for 8 hours. But with temperatures reaching 40-45 this summer, it is advisable to store in refrigerator where it stays good for 24 hours and more.
You dont need to worry if your baby is accepting well orally and is not showing any signs of fussiness , hasnt vomited after feed dont worry but in future avoid giving feed that hasnt been kept in fridge and is in open for more than 4-5 hours
For now dont worry and keep a check on your baby for any leghargy and vomiting
No need to worry yet if baby is fine and not showing any symptoms like vomiting, loose stools. Observe the baby if any symptoms are seen can contact any pediatrician but for now there is no need to panic. Baby is developing immunity from your milk and the threshold for storing the breast milk is 6-8 hrs at room temperature and in fridge for 1-2 days
If its only once then need not worry...but observe for any vomitings,fussiness..if any abnormal signs consult physically...its better to give fresh breast feed..if u wanted to use breast feed, you can store at room temperature for maximum of 6 hours only..you can store in refrigerator for 24 hours
Greetings
Your baby will most likely be completely fine, as breast milk has strong antibacterial properties that protect it.Mild symptoms like fussiness, mild spitting up, or temporary loose stools can sometimes occur but usually pass quickly.Monitor your 2-month-old closely over the next 24 hours for any changes in behavior or comfort.Continue to nurse frequently or offer fresh breast milk to keep your baby well-hydrated.
one-time intake of 40 mL of milk that was left out for 6 hours is unlikely to cause serious harm. Just observe your baby for vomiting, loose motions, fever, poor feeding, excessive sleepiness, or irritability over the next 24–48 hours. If she remains well, no treatment is needed.
