Hello
Domstal with doses above 30 mg/day are associated with cardiac side effects and also in mothers with past h/o cardiac problems. You can use the prescribed dose for a week and stop the drug in due course if any palpitations or any side effects any. Breast milk increases as baby latches on to it as it is a reflex and increases gradually.
If by Domstal you mean domperidone, the regimen shown in the screenshot appears to be for increasing breast-milk supply.
The important point is the total daily dose:
10 mg three times daily = 30 mg/day — this is the most commonly studied dose for lactation.
The evidence suggests a modest increase in milk production, particularly in mothers of preterm infants.
* >30 mg/day should generally be avoided because the risk of QT prolongation and cardiac arrhythmia increases with higher doses.
Next Steps
Prolonged treatment also deserves more caution; evidence for benefit beyond about 7–14 days is limited.
Health Tips
Palpitations, dizziness, fainting or seizures → stop the drug and seek urgent medical assessment.
