Vitiligo is neither contagious nor life-threatening. There are many celebrities in the world who have / had vitiligo, Michael Jackson being just one of them (ref. Wikipedia). In India some of them are politician Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief justice P. Sathasivam and Raymond Group Director Gautam Singhania. Yet I do not think you will be able to overcome your aversion for people with vitiligo without the support of a mental healthcare professional. With that I suggest you approach a psychologist who may be able to take you out of this issue.
