Facial swelling can occur due to multiple factors ranging from allergy to kidney and heart diseases or simply water rentenrion during menses. If it is causing you concern do consult a doctor online and share some pictures. You may have to undergo some tests to get to the diagnosis.

Swelling of face may be due to many causes like allergic reaction, or due to some diseases of kidney, heart and hypertension. It is considered as medical emergency because sometimes it leads to swelling of  airway tract and breathing difficulty.

Facial swelling can be an indicator of internal diseases like kidney, heart, liver etc. Also it can be due to allergic reaction to anything. It sometimes may involve windpipe making it difficult to breathe. Hence please go to hospital ASAP.
