Eye problem for 2 months baby
Hi, We have visited a hospital for eye checkup and was told that the baby(2months old) have retinal coloboma. Was told that her retina is not fully developed and a gap is there , through that nerves are seen Can you please let us know , will this get better in coming months as she is too small now.she has it on both eyes.will this get cured on its own? Will this affect the vision

Sorry to say that coloboma (defect) doesn't heal(gap doesn't close)... But the effect on vision depends on site of location of coloboma. If it is away from macula(most commonly it will be away) vision will not be affected.. Try to post the doctor report or fundus picture so that we can see the location n say something
