Hello You mentioned history of supposedly annular disc tear 1 year back. We have seen many patients with similar problem and treated them successfully. The symptoms which you have vaguely mentioned here are suggestive of onset of sciatica like symptoms due to disc tear, however, it will be advisable for you to get a thorough consult with me on Practo online or take an appointment here so that I can know more details and help in treatment. Some helpful tips - 1. Improve posture. Sit erect. Do not bend forwards while working 2. Avoid lifting heavy weights. 3. Do low back stretching and strengthening exercises (to know exact details of exercises I would advice you to consult me online) 4. Hot fomentation for low back. 5. You will require a thorough prescription of medication which is specific for your pain and for that it is advisable to take appointment for online consultation on Practo. I would suggest you to contact and take appointment for us directly on Practo and take the course of treatment for back problem. https://www.practo.com/mumbai/doctor/chintan-doshi-orthopedist/consult Your Orthopedic doctor, Dr. Chintan Doshi

Please note that you have not provided any details of your previous treatment and how are you got the Annular tear. If you are just asking about exercise and then there are many and it will depend on which exercises you should do on the basis of your previous MRI and in which position you feel the pain. Also need to know your BMI and your physical structure.
