Excessive salivation of my rabbit of 2yr
My male 2yr old rabbit showing symptoms of excessive salivation and not eating hard foods. Eating in choosing manner, drinking water. What may be the cause and treatment

Hypersalivation can be due to many reasons -
Oral examination is must to rule out any oral tumors, oral ulceration, malformed teeth or Sharp molars or premolars.
One abdominal lateral x ray is also required to rule out gastric issue.

Check your rabbit for any dental problems(injured, infection, overgrowth, anything stuck in teeth), gum ulcerations, tongue lesions, respiratory problems, neurological disorders, ocular discharges, ear infection, burns in oral cavity(due to chewing wires or electrical cords).

An item of food stuck within the mouth may cause excessive salivation.Tumours/abscesses can invade the oral cavity. Abscesses are often associated to dental disease. Please visit near by vet for physical examination
