Enquiry on ultrasound scan
I hav done usg abdomen and pelvis on 24/7/2022for evaluation of kidney stones &menstrual period again after 1 month dated 3/9/2022 I scanned abdomen &pelvis I this report no kidney stones only bladder thickness increases..today I know that scanning center is not registered. So I hav doubt on scanning report this centre given.so I again want to usg abdomen and pelvis in other scanning centre .frequently doing scan can be harmful to me.iam not a pregnant.so can I go for this.please suggest me.

Ultrasound sonography doesn’t pass any harmful radiation to ur body , kidney stones are different types and it can be soluble stone , take a scan only if u have symptom like pain in the back and pain while urinating or less urine output otherwise u don’t need a scan for kidney stone if the size is less .

Getting multiple ultrasound scan study is not harmful ,unlike x-rays.It depends on the interpretation skills of the performing doctor. In such cases get it done in accredited centers.
