Enlarged adenoids and tonsils are very common problem in children.... The symptomatic condition should be treated... You need to get your child checked up for not only these but also for ear problems, growth issues, behavioral issues.... The surgery done in these cases are not an emergency surgery, so u can wait for the summer vacation....  Steroid spray can reduce the adenoid problem but you haven't have mentioned the country you are currently in to tell u about a brand....

If your son is having significant nasal obstruction and associated mouth breathing and snoring then surgery may be necessary. Usually surgery is not an emergency and initial treatment with steroid nasal spray can be tried
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
