Just got my bloodwork done and my estradiol levels came out to be 76 ph/mL. I don't use steroids so I am not sure why the levels are elevated. My testosterone is at 618 ng/dL. How do I lower the e2 levels?
An estradiol (E2) of 76 pg/mL is above the normal male range (usually 10-40 pg/mL) and warrants investigation even without steroid use. The most common natural cause is excess conversion of testosterone to estradiol by the aromatase enzyme, which is more active in adipose (fat) tissue â so body fat percentage is a key factor. Liver function also affects estrogen clearance. Your testosterone at 618 ng/dL is healthy, so the elevated E2 is likely due to increased aromatization rather than a production problem. Causes like adrenal or testicular tumors are less likely but should be ruled out.
Next Steps
See an endocrinologist for a full hormonal workup â include LH, FSH, prolactin, liver function tests, and thyroid. An ultrasound of the testes and adrenals may also be recommended. Lifestyle measures like reducing body fat percentage can naturally lower E2 levels. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
