Effect of stool softeners
Hi all,
I took a stool softener tablet on Sunday night and even now I'm having loose stools. How long does the effect of stool softener stay? Since taking it, I have had 3 loose stools on Monday and 3 today. What do I do

Depends on the laxative and the dose taken but usually not more than 2 to 3 days.
But loose motions may be because of some other cause.

Please consult a physician and than start to eat stool softener tablets..
