Edema for past 3 yrs after accident
I met with an accident around 3 years ago where I suffered muscle contusion in my right leg. The affected area starts from the lower half of my right thigh to 6 inches below my knee. Even after three years, I have edema in this area and it's very sensitive and painful to touch. Kindly advise the right treatment in this case.

Think u must have seen a orthopedics at the time of accident… If not then see someone who is close to you… Online consultation won’t help

The soft tissue usually heals in 6 to 8 weeks. Post healing, there is formation of fibrous tissue which causes decreased flow of lymphatic fluid along the limb causing edema. Higher sensitivity may be due to open nerve endings.
Next Steps
You should get a USG Doppler study done to find out if there is any obstruction. Also, start with muscle stretching and strengthening exercises to increase the soft tissue space. Take Pregabalin 75 mg for nerve stimulation
