Eardrum rupture
My left eardrum was perforated, i consult doctor he gave me bevit tablets for 3 months and come again. After 3 months of use i consult doctor again He suggested me to took surgery. For three months i have no pain,no hearing problem,no pus coming. Is compulsary to have surgery?? Can u tell me about this clearly

You seem to be having chronic otitis media which is a common type of chronic middle ear infection with perforation of ear drum. If you have no symptoms of hearing loss or recurrent ear discharge then you can avoid surgery by keeping your ear dry and taking treatment appropriately during attacks of. Common cold. Perforation won't heal spontaneously. Surgery is the only way to close the perforation
