Ear problem for a 4 year kid

Asked for Female, 30 Years

My Sister son is facing issue with infection/ bacteria in left ear and took medicines for 4 to 5 months but now it affected other ear aswell and he was suggested to go for surgery. He is 4 year old kid and now suffering with high fever from last 10 days. Now is was in remote area we want to know what exactly the issue was and really surgery is required.

Though complaints you have written is not very clear I think he may be suffering from otitis media with effusion in the ear which is common condition causing decreased hearing in children. Fever may not be related to the ear infection and may be due to other causes.
