Ear Pain and Mucus Congestion
My son is 04 and half years old and is suffering from ear pain due to cough and mucus. We have been advised by ENT specialist to take Antibiotics, Cough Syrup, Ear Drops and Ibugesic for pain relief. It's been 03 days now and there is no much improvement. He is still having pain in both the ears. What could be given for instant relief?

If nose is still blocked then blockage of nose might also cause ear pain. Do a saline nebulisation three times a day for 2-3days and watch for any improvement
Next Steps
If no improvement occurs consult your ent specialist again

If ear pain is still continuing even after the medication as advised, kindly reconsult your dr for ear examination again.  Sometimes, even paracetamol alone works for earpain.
Next Steps
No cold items to eat or drink
