Good afternoon
There is a tube called eustachian tube connecting middle ear with nasopharynx (area behind nose)
If the ear drum has a hole due to disease ,YES the drops can reach throat
The external ear that u see is not connected to the throat. The middle ear behind the ear drum is connected to the nose through an Eustachian tube from which is connected to the throat. The ear drops will reach the throat only if there is a hole in ur ear drum. So if that has happened pls get ur ears checked.
I need to explain this with diagrams, which cannot be done here. I suggest you either meet me directly at my clinic or follow me on Quora, where I answer such questions.
