Hi , Normally you need to wear elastics till the gap closes and the bite is corrected . In case you are wearing elastics in the lockdown period and your gap has closed you can continue wearing it till your next appointment with the orthodontist.
Next Steps

Health Tips
Elastics are a wonderful adjunct to close gap only drawback is that they are cumbersome .
