Dtp vaccine
Greetings Dr's,
My child is 12 years 6 months old, dtp vaccine booster was supposed to be taken at 10 years but due to lockdowns it got postponed, shall I proceed with the vaccine? My husband is not keen on giving it but I want to specially since the child handles a pet turtle and a baby bird.. please suggest me, is dtp vaccine booster enough? Or only TT injection will do?

DPT booster vaccine is recommended. Please proceed. Earlier only TT was given but diphtheria and pertussis outbreaks occurred in teenagers. So DPT booster is best.
