DTP vaccine dose 2
Hi, My 10 weeks 6 days old baby is administered 2nd dose of DTP vaccine today in combination with HIB 2. Also he has been administered PCV 2, ROTAVIRUS drops and Oral Polio Drops. The DTP 2 and HiB 2 are injected at the same place on his right bum since these were injected together. PCV 2 is injected on the left bum. Could you please tell if heat pad or ice pad should be used at the site of injection of DTP 2 and HiB 2? During administration of DTP 1 (Easy 5), I didn't use heating or cooling pad. Please suggest.

Giving on bum is inappropriate .The right way is to give on thigh. You can use cooling pad or ice to decrease pain and swelling. These problems subside in 72 hrs
Next Steps
your peds can advise an analgesic like acetaminophen or other things
