You should talk to the person and also to the family and friends for support. Set your boundary about drinking and be firm what you like and what you don't like. If you think your partner needs help discuss with them and be supportive of they show willingness to change. Accompany them to a psychiatrist or to a de-addiction centre.
Health Tips
be cautious during the discussion as it should not become a blame game and instead of motivating the patient to change makes them defensive about their drinking. be firm about your boundaries and how you would like them to be with you. do not confront them about their previous behaviours as this time is to motivate them to take help. you can confront them in front of a professional as that will be more regulated environment and would most likely not generate very negative reaction from your partner.
