My father is 67 years old, his behavior changes every 6 months to one year. For six months he will roam outside and not listen to anyone and for another 6 months he will not go any where outside.  From the past one year he is not listening to anyone, he normally have alcohol daily but now he is completing one full bottle in 5 days. Hello, the personality changes in elderly patients might be due to numerous reasons. If the patient was younger I could have started medications online but since he is elderly we need to rule out the neurological part of his personality changes Then if his neurology is fine we can start him on our medications.
Next Steps
First kindly take him to a neurologist to rule out. Then we can treat him for his bipolar kind of symptoms.
