Want to know about behavioral change
Dr. I have hypothyroidism and I am taking medicines since(July)about one year. But from past year till today I am getting depressed day by day. I Was an optimistic and happy woman .but after getting this disease negative thoughts comes to my mind. I am always scared of any mishappenings sometimes about my children sometimes about my father. I want to know why is all this happening to me. Is it because of hypothyroid or anything else. I am becoming rude with my children day by day .

Hello, Hypothyroidism is commonly associated with depression. Get your thyroid levels checked. If the levels are de arranged then your thyroid medication need to be adjusted. If these symptoms persist over weeks then you need to consult a mental health professional. Get yourself assessed to know that are these symptoms are related to anxiety or depression or something else.

Hi Although they're separate diseases, depression is sometimes a symptom of hypothyroidism. That's when your thyroid gland doesn't make enough thyroid hormone. Medication can boost those levels, and that can improve or get rid of your symptoms, including depression. ... All of that may cause you to feel depressed Since you are already on medication for that I suggest you consult with me or any psychologist for therapy and counseling to manage these symptoms All the best

It is not because of thyroid.. There could be various reasons for your Anxiety. I suggest you to consult a psychologist for more clarity and understanding about yourself.
