Drastic Weight Loss of my Father
I am a little worried about my Father as his weight is losing drastically since past few days. (Age: 58, Weight: 57) I am really not sure if this is normal and suspect it might be because of his high Blood Sugar. (He takes pills for Sugar regularly). NB: He drinks a lot, almost regularly and is a chain-smoker as well. Please Suggest what to do.

Hi there...An unexplained drop in weight could be caused by various conditions — including overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), diabetes, depression, liver disease, cancer or disorders that interfere with how your body absorbs nutrients (malabsorption disorders)...Regards.
