Dear Patient, Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding the scratch from human nails. While it is good that you washed the scratch promptly, it is important to consider the risk of infection, including tetanus and, in rare cases, rabies if there was potential exposure to animal saliva. A tetanus shot is generally recommended if you haven't had one in the last 10 years or if the wound is deep or contaminated. Rabies vaccination is typically not necessary for scratches from human nails unless there is a confirmed exposure to rabies through animal saliva. To ensure your safety and to address any potential risks, I strongly recommend that you schedule a consultation with me. We can review your medical history, assess the scratch, and determine if any additional vaccinations or treatments are necessary. Please feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two to schedule an appointment or discuss your concerns further. Take care .
