Double marker is a screening test, not a diagnosis. An isolated low PAPP-A does not confirm any problem. What matters is the combined risk calculated on the report, alongside your NT scan.
Next Steps
Please review the calculated risk value with your obstetrician. If it is high, they may recommend NIPT for confirmation. An isolated low PAPP-A also warrants a growth scan in the third trimester.
Health Tips
Please do not draw conclusions from a single marker in isolation.
