If burning sensation is there , take vaccine , if there's no visible scratch marks it might be grade 1 then no vaccine needed
Next Steps
Examine the site carefully and if it's still burning and the wound feels more than just a simple abrasion do take vaccine it's important

Itching due to scratching by a dog's paw can cause itching. The skin could break due to irritation and inflammation caused due to  scratching. There could be germs on dog's paws which can potentially cause infection. Take tab cetrizine 5mg morning and evening for 5 days for itching. Clean the site thoroughly with antiseptic solution. If no cut, no vaccine is needed, but if there is a clear cut, consult a Dr. Physically for anti rabies vaccine.
