Hi Sir/Madam,
Is it too late to take rabies vaccine after 2 years. In January 2012 a street dog step over my foot, I don't remember there was any scratches or not, but at that time I didn't take any vaccine for that incident and I was unable to follow the dog. After 2 years in December 2013 I took 5 doses of rabies vaccine. But I never being able to clear the fear of getting rabies in future due to the incident happened on 2012. Due to this fear till July 2020 I have taken total 57 rabies vaccines. My life is very much affected due to this fear. Please let me know is there any chance that I will get rabies in future. I have heard that if vaccines are taken before symptoms arrive then it is safe and we can avoid rabies. Is it true. Please help me. Please let me know if I could do anything now.
Thanks
Monojit
