Do i need Root canal ..??
I had a 4 year old filling in my left upper 4-5 teeth . Now i feel some pulse sensation in it some time . But there is no as such pain but little sensation . Today i visit dentist after examine he told me it is better to do Root canal for this teeth . My point is i don't have as such great pain . i do have my x-ray for my teeth .RC cost 12k rupees

Hi, the throbbing sensation in the tooth indicates that the filling may be very close to the pulp of the tooth that contains the nerves and the blood vessels. In such kind of cases i would suggest you a wait and watch approach. If the pain is constant and aggravates you should go ahead with a root canal treatment. Sometimes a change in the filling may also help.

Hello there. The decision for any R.C.T depends on the actual need for it in terms of clinical symptoms. You said u have pulsating feeling, sometimes it's not necessary to have a full blown shooting pain in the offending tooth. Be sure about the tooth, since u said that you 4-5 fillings . Make sure it's the right one which needs an R.C.T. Try to get your work done from an experienced doctor who does the job excellently. You get your god given teeth ones only. You can also share your x - ray for a second opinion. Good luck to you 👍
