Distal radius fracture
Was diagnosed with Distal radius faracture in left hand . Currently in casting and was asked to be with it for 6 weeks.. 5 weeks are over and not able to manage with this casting.. Feels like getting other complication like stomach pain, Vomiting etc and body is heated up due to this.. Not keeping well for past one month post this...Planning to remove the casting.. Is it safe to remove???What are the precautions to be followed while removing.. Planning to remove at home...please advise..

Pain abdomen could be due to pain killer tabs. Kindly consult the surgeon who had applied pop cast. Do not remove it of your own.

You can remove safely after 5wks but apply wrist splint for another 2wks if possible and immerse your hand in water tub and u can remove pop cast layer by layer and stomach pain and vomitings not becz of fracture complications may be due to gastritis ovr use of painkillers
