I have been experiencing digestive issues for some time. After eating, I often feel heaviness in my stomach. It is not severe bloating, but there is noticeable discomfort and a feeling that digestion is slow. Around 30–60 minutes after meals, my stomach frequently makes loud gurgling or rumbling sounds. These sounds are sometimes quite noticeable in quiet environments such as libraries or classrooms, which makes me feel embarrassed. Along with the sounds, I sometimes feel mild gas movement in my stomach.
My bowel movements are generally normal and regular. I do not have constipation, diarrhea, or severe abdominal pain. My appetite, body weight, and overall physical condition are normal. I usually avoid junk and fried foods and try to follow a healthy diet. After meals, I drink warm water about 20–30 minutes later. Despite this, the heaviness and stomach sounds continue to occur after eating. I would like to know the possible cause and whether any tests or treatment are required.

Thanks for the detailed description.
It is normal to experience the same symptoms you are having before or after a meal. But I understand it is getting to your concern. Normally our bowel movements(intestine recommended) make sounds like this, around 4-8 times/minute. Anything less than this or more than this can be slightly alarming with persisting other symptoms. Since you are just feeling the gaseous fullness and mild, but loud rumbling sounds- can be due to acute gastro enteritis.
The severity has to be assess if it is really concerning you.
Next Steps
I can suggest some basic imaging/scans for further evaluation.
I can also perform an Upper GI endoscopy (assessing through Camera scope) just to be sure.
Feel free to consult me if u need further evaluation.
You need to change your dietary habits and lifestyle modifications. Its may be due to mild gastritis. Do some routine testing like b12,iron profile, usg whole abdomen,LFT rft.take more fibrous diet.
It will be ideal for you to take a consultation so that one can know in depth about your eating habits , time , profession , stress factors and accordingly can opine
Sometimes these factors play a very imp role despite absence of any pathology….
Sounds like sluggish digestion or mild gas buildup quite common and nothing serious given your normal weight and bowel habits. Eat smaller meals, chew slowly and avoid cold drinks with food. Please consult me on Practo for proper diagnosis and treatment!
