Is ct guided Tru cut needle biopsy for lung mass and ct guided fine needle biopsy for lung mass the same thing? Which has more risk? Which is safer?

Both the tests have their pros and cons. FNAC is cheaper and can be done as OPD procedure. Whereas tru cut biopsy reveals tissue architecture better and help in grading / typing of mass.

basic benefit of tru cut is that more tissue sample can be obtained which increases chance of diagnosis..fnac gets less tissues..so not preferred if we are dealing with a mass lesion

No they are not. Both have risks involved but try cut is more accurate but has slightly more risk
