Difference between cold or flu or covid
What is the best way to differentiate between covid/flu/cold . My brother had a mild covid in April he didn't had a rtpcr but had a fever cold cough and loss of smell. He is again having cold then fever and little cough and weakness , but the fever is consistent this time every 7hr he is feeling uneasy. Plz recommend something is it bcoz of changing weather or common cold or something?

Since rtpcr was not done previously, it is difficult to say whether previous episode was covid or not Better to get rtpcr done at this episode of fever

Best way to differentiate is RTPCR test , since causative agent in all of the above is virus so prodromal nd general symptoms r same. Yes loss of smell nd taste is pathognomic of covid. Rest on the basis of symptoms only it’s almost impossible to differentiate. Feel free to consult with detail history for further guidance and prescription
