Hello As your husbands case details & biometrics are missing I won’t be able to to suggest you much but since he is obese & diabetic at the same time it’s highly highly recommended to go through a complete Lipid profile, Thyroid profile, B12, D3, Iron, Ferritin & LFT

Some liver disease, diabetes and obese may benefit from following food items: Spinach and other grains leafy Salmon, sardines, tuna and other fish rich in omega -3 fatty acids Oats and other fibre rich Turmeric and cur cumin Sunflower seed and other sources of vitamin E Garlic Many foods contain specific compounds or antioxidants that have been to support liver function Add grapefruit, blueberries, cranberry, olive oil, and crucifers vegetables like broccoli or Brussels sprouts add in diet
