Diagnosed with TSH level 17
I've recently been diagnosed with TSH level of 17.1 in a random test. Don't know since when I've been having this issue. However, I've never taken any medication for this. Got different suggestions from doctors for Thyrox-100 mg and Thyrox-50 mg. Please suggest whether I shall go for 100 mg or 50 mg...as a beginner..?

Your l-thyroxine dose is depending on your body weight. We have to calculate that and start accordingly. Do not worry. It will be controlled.

Our target is to achieve uTSH below 2.5, which tells us thyroid hormone is reaching every cell of body and maintaining nasal metabolic rate.
Next Steps
My suggestion is to start with 50 ug and recheck uTSH after 6 weeks and increase dose if needed. What is your present weight?
Health Tips
Take tablet empty stomach without any hot drinks for next 30 minutes. Avoid cabbage
