Diagnosed with cancer
I got diagnosed with ovarian cancer today. With my CA 125 report as 373. It is non melingnant, as the report says. How serious is it? What should I do? Will I need chemo therapy to cure it?

As your age is 20, we need to also get a AFP, bHCG and LDH and inhibin levels blood tests done. CA 125 is not of much use in young women with ovarian masses. Also get an Mri done. If labs are normal and Mri shows a simple cyst less than 3cm, No worries at all. However if it shows a complex cyst then we have to do surgery. If the labs are high then we may be looking at a form of treatable ovarian tumor. In almost all cases of ovarian masses in young ladies we can preserve fertility.
