Hba1c   7 Fasting sugar      106  mg/dl Post breakfast     126 mg/dl Doctor suggested to  take  only  500mg ( metformin)+ 50 mg( vildagliptin) @ night time only.    Is it OK to drop down the dosage from 1500 mg to (500 + 50 mg) ?? You may now check fasting and post-meal blood sugars again to assess the current control. If possible, repeat HbA1c after 3 months to confirm long-term control. Monitor for any symptoms of high sugar (excessive thirst, fatigue, frequent urination). Maintain regular lifestyle habits (diet, exercise, and sleep).
