FBS, PPBS, HBA1C for her type 2 diabetes mellitus should be done every 3 months, so as to know that her diabetes is under good control, as HBA1C test (done every 3 months) is important in diabetes patients to know their diabetes control, and medications should be optimised as required. Her eye (Fundus - retina examination) test for diabetes should be done annually or as suggested by the eye doctor; Lipid levels, Kidney test (creatinine), ECG / cardiac test, Urine - Microalbumin (spot) test could be done annually.
Diet- low carb, low fat balanced diet with proteins abt 1800kcal /day.
Regular Walk/exercise - 20-30 minutes a day is important.

She should go for Fasting blood sugar, Postprandial blood Sugar, HBA1c, Lipid profile, TSH, serum creatinine, urine routine, micro albumin. Also go for fundus examination for retinopathy (Eye). She should take balanced diet which must have complex carbohydrates and low glycemic index.
Foot examination is very important for old diabetic patients. Consult your physician for review of medication.
