Is derealization-depersonalisation disorder curable?? How many days generally it take ?? One of my colleague is suffering from this from last 2 months. He has no hope that it will be cured and is in deep anxiety. Someone is saying that he will be given electric shock, is it right?? Will he have to take medicines forever? Does homeopathy work??

Hi Depersonalization & derealization disorder can be part of psychosis or dissociative or part of anxiety or sometimes part  of epilepsy, if it's not distressing then some times it could be normal also.
Next Steps
please visit psychiatrist to rule out psychosis & other psychiatric disorders.

Yes it is curable. Usually the cause behind it is hidden stress which causes anxiety and depression along with such symptoms. Treatment depends on identifying the stress and treating it properly. It may take few days to months to get relief. Electric shock doesn't require in such cases and he doesn't require medication for life long. No idea about homeopathy.
