If you notice a loss of interest in your activities with changes in appetite and/or sleep patterns and feel major changes which are interfering with your routine. Do get in touch with a professional. The main difference between depression and anxiety is in the mood and thought process. Sadness more than 2 weeks along with decreased energy and inability to enjoy. Also negative thoughts in depression. In anxiety it’s worries and catastrophising along with panic attacks. However many patients with depression also have anxiety.

Persistent low mood, decreased energy, decreased interest in pleasurable activities, low self-esteem, pessimism, ideas of worthless. Ideas of helplessness, ideas of hopelessness, sleep and appetite disturbances, suicidal thoughts.

Hi thanks for query, normally person will experience Emotions :stress in small work, disinterest, mood swings, irritated, crying for no reason, not enjoying activities and others. Behavior : not to socialize, prefer to be alone, low level of self confidence, feelings extreme hunger or loss of appetite, and others. Normally anxiety is unknown fear, the person may not be sure of reason for fear.. Feel anxious to work on anything he /she is fear of.. Both are vast it can't be explained here, depending on the case it will be analyzed and suggested. This depends on person to person. But don't analyze your self, if you feel any one is applicable. Please take experts help.

Some times if there is emotional outbursts don't considered as depression, chanting Omkara and few of change in life style will help to handle yourself better and cope with the situation.
