My friend is suffering from severe depression from past 2.5 yrs. He has been on many meds Bt had severe skin rashes from them. He is now on escitalopram 20 mg from past 4 months. He refuses to consult his dctr again. I want to know if there is any chance of overdose ? N will lowering dose help him conc on studies?

Escitalopram is adequate dose for depression, not overdose. If there is not significant improvement in symptoms psychiatric consultation is needed.
