Depression at work
Hi, I am into a full-time job since 3 years. Lately I make excuses to avoid doing my work tasks. I'm exhausted and finding it difficult to motivate myself to work. With everything going on around, I'm starting to wonder what the point of my job is. Of course, it helps me financially, but I'm not finding any satisfaction these days. I'm sad all the time for no reason and lack motivation to do anything. I believe that with each new dawn, I will be able to mend myself and resume my normal day. But I failed every day, and I've been failing to fix myself for more than a month. These, in turn, have a negative impact on my performance. I am the only earning member of my family and I can't afford to be fired. I'm looking for assistance. TIA.

It looks like you've found yourself in a "rut" and are not motivated to do anything--even when you're actively trying to improve. It is hard for your to concentrate and you feel low most of the time, which has now started affecting your professional life. You might be feeling stuck and find yourself procrastinating and making excuses. However, this behaviour is also very frustrating. There's nothing wrong with you. What you're experiencing is completely normal and part of the human experience. You're feeling burnt out, stressed, and your body is working overtime. Your brain is trying to "protect" you from this stress by procrastinating. You can overcome this by taking one step at a time. A helping relationship with a therapist can help you realise your patterns and overcome this issue.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist.
